Hailing from Dunedin, Phil Maunder and wife Liz purchased a Jim’s Mowing franchise in Melbourne back in 1989, and later becoming of the first ever franchisors in Jim’s! Over the next 15 years, Phil worked in various different roles within the Jim’s Group head office, including training for franchisors and franchisees.
Phil always felt that there was a gap in the franchised mowing & gardening industry for a franchise that felt less corporate, had fairer fees, and was truly invested in its franchisees and helping them build amazing businesses. His dream is that Fox becomes known for delivering the absolute best in mowing & gardening services for its customers.
In 2012, Fox was born! Rather than naming it after himself, Phil opted for an old nickname his mates had given him from his sporting days. For those of you old enough to remember, it’s based on the X-Files and the character of Fox Mulder (see the connection: Mulder, Maunder?)
Looking for a new career that would be rewarding, allow flexibility for other things in life, and bring financial freedom, Marcus stepped into his own lawn mowing and gardening business almost a decade ago and hasn’t looked back.
Today, Marcus is the New Zealand Regional Franchisor for Fox Mowing & Gardening, bringing his wealth of experience in the industry to the table to help Fox franchisees achieve their own personal and financial goals. He’s a strong advocate for building long-term relationships with both customers and franchisees and is committed to providing exceptional support and guidance.
